Ashlow Airport is a fictional business. This site is a design showcase.

Ashlow Airport

Business aviation only

The car, the door, the aircraft. Very little in between.

A business-aviation airport beside the market town of Ashlow, for private and business jets and turboprops. One terminal, and one team that looks after the aircraft, the passengers and the crew.

Business aviation, and nothing else.

Private and business jets and turboprops, flown by their owners' flight departments or by charter operators. Every movement needs prior permission, asked for at least 24 hours before arrival.

Arriving and departing

From the car to the aircraft door.

What happens on the way out, step by step. Arriving runs the same way, in reverse.

  1. The car stops at the terminal door.

Cars come straight to the door. The handling team takes the luggage from the car to the aircraft, so nobody carries a bag through the building.

step-free, from the car to the lounge

  2. Through the terminal, with one team.

One single-storey terminal and one handling team, so the people who met the car are the people who load the aircraft. Departing passengers are usually through in a few minutes, once the aircraft is ready.

no names on screens or boards

  3. The lounge, or a room to yourselves.

Hot and cold drinks, light refreshments and Wi-Fi in the main lounge. Book the private room and your party has it to itself. Catering, newspapers and flowers can be ordered through handling.

a small terrace, facing the apron

  4. Out to the apron.

With notice, and once security checks are done, your car can be escorted airside to the aircraft. Help boarding can be arranged too: ask with the handling request.

with notice, once security checks are done

  5. The aircraft door.

The luggage is already aboard, loaded by the team that met the car. Operations confirmed this departure time when it gave the flight permission.

What to tell the team beforehand

    your luggage, already aboard
